Biodiversity

What is biodiversity? Biodiversity is the term used for the variation of taxonomic forms of life within a particular ecosystem, or for the entire Earth. Biodiversity is often used as a measure to judge the health of biological systems.

Obviously, the word is a combination of biology and diversity. Biodiversity is a broad term, and used broadly. The basic definition of biodiversity is "variation of life at all levels of biological organization." The term can also be used to describe diversity within a particular species or among species.
